As we venture into November, there’s a buzz of excitement in the air at Hartley Farm as we gear up for the festive season. Christmas orders are in full swing, and we’re passionately curating a selection of our farm shop favourites to add a touch of Christmas magic to your festive table. Our commitment to supporting local food systems has never been stronger, especially at a time when many of our beloved local farmers and food producers face increasingly challenging conditions to bring us the best in wholesome, homegrown goodness.
One notable change this year is our new free-range turkey supplier. Our head butcher, Kev, paid a visit to the Walters family earlier this autumn to personally inspect these fine birds. Working directly with farmers is at the heart of our mission here at Hartley, allowing us to connect with the genuine stories behind our food. No hidden farm names or fancy gimmicks here – just authentic, quality products. You can pre-order Ed Walters’ free-range, dry-plucked turkeys along with our dry-aged, grass-fed Hereford beef, locally cured bacon and gammon, homemade sausages, and the very best Christmas pantry essentials, all conveniently available on our online shop for collection or local delivery before the holiday season arrives.
We’re pleased to report that the construction work at the farm shop entrance is nearly complete. Our new entrance will provide shelter from the elements and a more user-friendly experience, just in time for the festive rush. We appreciate your patience during the renovation period, and while it was enjoyable to revisit the past by shifting the entrance back to its original location, we’re looking forward to having some additional space again!
Lastly, we’re excited to announce some fantastic events in the pipeline. Be sure to check our website for the most up-to-date information, but here are the highlights for now:
